Our Commitment
MatchupOdds is built to help adults compare odds across major U.S. sportsbooks. We believe that comparison information should never push anyone toward harm. We support responsible gambling, age and jurisdiction verification, and transparent disclosure of how the Site operates.
Age and Jurisdiction
You must be 18 years of age or older AND of the legal gambling age in your jurisdiction to use MatchupOdds. Legal gambling age varies by location. In most U.S. states it is 21, in some it is 18, and in many other countries it is 18. Verifying your eligibility is your responsibility. Sports betting itself is legal only in certain U.S. states; you must know your local laws.
Warning Signs of Problem Gambling
Gambling can become a problem when it stops being entertainment. Common warning signs include:
- Chasing losses by placing larger or more frequent bets to win back what was lost.
- Betting more money or time than you originally planned.
- Hiding bets, lies about gambling, or being secretive about money.
- Borrowing money to bet, or using money intended for bills, rent, or essentials.
- Neglecting work, school, family, or relationships because of gambling.
- Restlessness, irritability, or anxiety when not gambling.
- Repeated unsuccessful attempts to cut back or stop.
If you recognize any of these in yourself or someone close to you, the resources at the top of this page can help.
Self-Help Tools
Most major sportsbooks offer responsible-gambling controls within their apps. Use them.
- Deposit limits cap how much you can deposit per day, week, or month.
- Time limits alert you or log you out after a set duration.
- Wager limits cap individual or daily wager size.
- Cool-off periods temporarily lock you out for a chosen interval.
- Self-exclusion blocks your account permanently or for a set period.
Self-Exclusion
Self-exclusion programs let you voluntarily ban yourself from gambling at a particular operator or across all operators in a jurisdiction. Once enrolled, the operator must refuse your wagers for the chosen period.

How to Talk to Someone You're Worried About
- Pick a calm, private moment. Avoid confronting in the middle of a session.
- Lead with concern, not blame. Describe specific behaviors you have observed.
- Listen more than you talk. Many people with a gambling problem feel shame and isolation.
- Share resources, but let them take the next step. You can call hotlines yourself for guidance on how to help.
- Take care of yourself. Watching a loved one struggle is hard. The same hotlines and groups support family and friends.
